The source for the military bounty land is Bureau of Land Management, General Land Office Records. The region that subsequently became Houston County, Alabama was still part of Henry County when the military land was awarded. However, since the Bureau of Land Management, General Land Office Records identify the land as being in Houston County, that is what is used in the table above.
