Leamon, ? 1820's Leamon operated store on Columbia and Franklin Road (County Road 47) in 1820s for convenience of travelers, Leamon’s Store became first post office in county September 10, 1829 with Col. James Bennett as postmaster.

Note: The September 10, 1829 date is suspect because the postmaster records indicate the Leamon's Store post office was in operation by December 18, 1826.
