He received a Henry CO land bounty in 1854 for his service in the Seminole War in Capt Miffin/Miflin's company. I suspect James was likely a few years older than "born in 1800". His first child with wife Elizabeth (likely Simpson, daughter of James Simpson) was Christian, born in Richmond CO GA prior to 1820. His second child, daughter Margaret, was born there in 1823. The Fears family migrated to Henry CO prior to 1830 and Margaret married Lewis Nobles in Henry CO in 1839. Lewis and Margaret are my ggg-grandparents.
