Cook, James 1819 James Cook is included on the 1819 Conecuh County, Alabama Tax List. He had no slaves, no sales of merchandise, and no "wheels of pleasure." One white poll (i.e., person eligible to vote) was enumerated for the household. A Samuel Cook is next to James Cook in the tax list and is probably related.

Caution: James Cook is a fairly common name, and so, there is a reasonable probability that this man was someone other than the Henry County pioneer James Cook.
