In December 2006 and January 2007, Jim Chumney searched all the Alabama State legislative acts, house journals, and senate journals posted on the history section of the Alabama State Legislature's website from the first session (Oct-Dec 1819) through the ninth session (November 19,1827 - January 15, 1828) for references to Henry County and extracted all the names of residents of the county.

When the acts and journals for the tenth and eleventh sessions are posted on the Legislature's website, they will also be searched for references to Henry County and the names of Henry County residents extracted and posted on this website which will finish covering the pre-1830 era of this website.
